The last thing that will happen before your soul comes to Earth, is that an angel will put their finger on the cleft of your lip and say, "Forget Everything you know" and then send you on your way.

Rite of Passage Wilderness Intensives

4 to 5 Day Wilderness Outback Backpacking for Creatives, Visionaries and those seeking a new foundation of knowing themselves in the world.

We are all destined for at least one common moment as souls coming to Earth.
One is when everything we know and believe becomes nothing to us but simple dust, compared to realizing there is a vision of what life really is and we've been standing too close to see see it.
It's at that moment that we have a choice:
1) Go back to "the way it is", or
2) Go forward and discover all that we are and are meant to become, even if it has to cost us our life in order to find it - a complete stepping off into the Void of unknowing and uncertainty, with no guarantees of ever coming back.
This stage was called by the ancients as entering our "second cocoon" of life.

It is in that moment that a new destiny begins - a Rite-of-Passage into surrendering all we think we know in order to get intimately closer to one thing: learning what real eternity is and what our souls' place is within it, what our true design and purpose really is and discovering the Legacy we came to give in this lifetime.

What is a Rite-of-Passage?
Rite-of-Passage is a ceremony or ritual marking a major change or doorway in an individual's life.

At their most basic, all rites of passage are characterized by three distinct phases:
Separation (leaving the familiar), Transition (a time of testing, learning and growth), Return (incorporation and reintegration).

Discovering Your Soul & Heart's Vision of You

My work is based on the traditional teachings and vision quest as I was taught over a 20-year period by a number of North and South America native elders who taught me their traditions and gave me permission to use in my coaching work. Out of respect for cultural appropriation, I have adapted these teachings and integrated them with NLP, Jungian and Soulcraft (tm), to name a few and made them my own over the past 15 years.  Although each Rite-of-Passage has a familiar structure that I follow, no two are alike as I intuitively allow the ancestral guides and keepers of the land, along with the higher-self souls of the attendees and Great Creator/All-That-Is show me what is going to give all members of my groups the highest benefits.

Physical Requirements - Even if you have never backpacked, the first requirement is helping you be a good match for to the level of physical demand each group location that I am choosing this year has.

We will be working in an environment from 4,200 feet elevation up to 9,800 feet, exerting physical demand on our feet, legs and bodies as we carry packs with our gear for up to 5 miles in changing elevations and terrains. It is important that you know in advance your limits and be a regular walker, runner, bike rider, etc. to be able to stay with the pace of our group as we hike as much as 5 miles per day carrying 30-40 pounds on our backs.

Fasting?
My R-O-P's are not fasting expeditions, but the food I encourage you to bring lends itself to putting you body into high-performance energy and allowing your body to experience some of the values of fasting without the struggle and starvation of some of the other traditional 7-day Vision Quests by the healthy benefits of the food.

Equipment -
Own cooking gear, food for duration, ultra-light sleeping bag & sleeping pad, hydration bottle, water purifiers. warm and cold-weather layers of clothes.
In "backpacking" R.O.P's, you will need a 70+liter pack and 3-4# lightweight tent (I have recommendations).
In "basecamp" R.O.P's, instead of 70+liter pack, a 40+liter pack for day hikes and small, lighter tent.

If You Are Less Physically for Outback Backpacking - I AM scheduling an easier R.O.P. occasionally, AND you can contact me to set up your very own R.O.P. tailored to your physical level. I can also come to you anywhere in the world to guide you or your group in a Rite-of-Passage. I am very happy to do this, as opposed to you missing all that a Mount Shasta/Vision Path Rite of Passage can offer you!
